HONEY......best remedy for skin problems

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

I have found this great paper/ article about hone on interney while warming up myself for work today. i thought i should share it with you ladies out there who suffer a lot with daily skin problem.

So, here you go.............Discover a few ancient secrets, right here

Honey Bath: Add 1/4 cup or so of honey to your bath. Mmmm—sweet, silky, and luscious skin.

Honey Cleansing Scrub: Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 2 tablespoons finely ground almonds and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Rub gently onto face. Rinse off with warm water.

Skin Toner: Puree an apple with one tablespoon honey in a blender. Apply this mixture for face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water. This makes a great toner.

Firming Face Mask: Whisk together 1 tablespoon honey, 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon glycerin and enough flour to form a paste (approximately 1/4 cup). Smooth over face and throat. Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Smoothing Skin Lotion: Mix 1 teaspoon honey with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil and 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice. Rub into hands, elbows, heels and anywhere that feels dry.
Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse off with water. If you have a dry skin, take one tablespoon honey in a bowl and add one teaspoon milk.
Mix well and smooth it over face. Rinse off with lukewarm water after ten minutes. Your skin will feel soft instantly.

Hair Shine: Stir 1 teaspoon honey into 4 cups (1 quart) warm water. Blondes may wish to add a squeeze of lemon. After shampooing, pour mixture through hair. Do not rinse out. Dry as normal.

Hair Conditioner: Mix half a cup of honey with two tablespoons olive oil. If your hair is very dry, add a three tablespoon. Section off your hair and coat it well with the mixture.
Cover your hair with a shower cap so you don't mess up the entire house. In addition, the shower cap traps heat from your scalp, enabling the oils to penetrate further. Wash off after half an hour.
